!Measures due to the Corona Virus!

Dear members, donating members, honorary members and anyone else interested in S.D.V. Chassé,

As all of you are aware, the COVID-19 situation continues to impact our lives. Following the measures by the Dutch government and the University, we had no choice but to cancel all dance classes, activities and events until the 1st of June.

We are sure that you are already sick of hearing and reading about the Corona Virus, so we will not lecture you about it. Still, we want to encourage you to follow the guidelines by the government, act responsibly and take care of yourself and others in these uncertain times.

Certainly, we are very sad about having to cancel all the activities and events we had planned. We are already working on alternatives so you do not have to miss Chassé for too long! Our members have also proven to be very creative at this time and already came up with ideas on how to keep in touch with each other. Chassé now has a discord channel via which our members can chat, video call and talk whenever they want. In addition, we will have an online activity every Wednesday at 19:00. So Wednesday continues to be a Chassé day! For the dance lessons, we are in contact with our teacher Mel and are working on alternatives.

What about the events after the 1st of June? The final show might not take place after all or in case it does, it surely will not be exactly as we had planned. For the rest of the events and activities, we are not yet sure whether they will take place as they normally would. Of course, this also depends on the measures taken by the government and the UT. We will wait for updates on the situation and take them into account. Nevertheless, we are working on finding solutions and alternatives and will let you know as soon as we have new information!

If you have any questions or want to share your ideas on how we can make the best of this situation together, you are more than welcome to let us know via bestuur@sdvchasse.utwente.nl .

Stay safe and healthy.

The 11th Board.
